Here we have an Omega Speedmaster Mark 2 For Sale – Exotic Racing Dial.

The Omega Speedmaster mark 2 is one of my all time favourite chronographs. And so it should be….I have owned about 8 of them!! But although all others have come and gone this one has stayed firmly in the collection. The reason for that being it is the most mint original example I have ever come across. As close to New Old Stock as you are likely to get.

Many of these watches have been restored (i’ve done a few myself) with new service dials, hands and re-polished cases and they do look superb when all done – but they are still refurbished service watches. Nothing is quite like an original watch that looks today the same as it did 40 years ago. It is what us collectors search for!

The speedmaster mark 2 is often called the ‘exotic’ dial or ‘racing dial’ model due to its colourful orange and red markings around the minute track and orange hands that work with the flat grey dial just right.

The change to the Omega Speedmaster case for the mark 2 also saw the application of the ‘sunburst’ finish that contrasts the high polished beveled edges.

A stunning watch, a little bit different to the norm and in phenomenal original condition.

Dial & Hands: Flat grey Omega dial in perfect condition with correct printed orange Omega logo and orange and red markings around the minute track. Correct original matching hands.

Case & Caseback: Excellent unpolished case with famous Omega Hippocampus sea monster engraving to case back.

Bracelet: Rare original Omega 1162 bracelet in great condition with little stretch and secure Omega detailed clasp.

Movement: Original famed Omega 861 hand wind movement working as it should.

Box & Papers: Extremely rare original Omega Speedmaster moon crater watch box and booklet.
