Rare Bremont CH47 RAF Chinook Pilot Only Limited Edition – 1 of 20

Here we have a rare Bremont ALT 1-Z CH47 limited edition chronograph watch issued only to serving RAF Chinook helicopter pilots. A limited series of only 50 pieces this is one of only 20 pieces that were made in DLC and comes with full (unworn and still sealed) DLC bracelet.

The watch comes with excellent provenance with the owner having started off by being a Sea King pilot in the Falklands and has most recently done 2 tours of duty in Afghanistan in the Chinook.

The watch is a full set with boxes, papers, leather holdall, strap changing tool, cap and comes with brief resume of the owner and some photographs of the watch being worn while flying the Chinook.

MOVEMENT:  Modified calibre 13 1/4” BE-54AE automatic chronometer, 25 jewels, Glucydur balance, Anachron balance spring, Nivaflex 1 mainspring, 28,800bph, 42 hour power reserve, Bremont moulded and skeletonised decorated rotor.

FUNCTIONS:  Hour and Minute, Second counter at 9, Date at 3, Chronograph with seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours, 24 hour UTC hand.

CASE:  Black DLC coated at additional cost made with Trip-Tick® construction. Case diameter 43mm, case thickness 16mm, lug width 22mm.

CASE BACK:  DLC coated with integrated flat crystal, 5 stainless steel screws with polished heads. Customised rotor ALT 1-Z/CH-47/DLC.

BEZEL:  Rotating inner bezel operated by crown at 8 position.

DIAL:  Black metal dial with super luminova coated hands, and numerals.

CRYSTAL:  Domed anti-reflective, scratch resistant sapphire crystal.

WATER RESISTANCE:  Water resistant to 10 ATM, 100 metres.

RATINGS:  C.O.S.C chronometer tested.

STRAP/BRACELET:  The watch comes on a calf-skin leather strap and a NATO style strap in addition to the unworn and sealed DLC coated metal bracelet.

IDENTIFICATION: Every watch case is engraved with the Pilot’s call sign or the watch serial number.
