Coming soon we have a really lovely Mk1 matte dial Rolex 1675 GMT Master with its original box and rare punched Chronometer certificate showing a 1.9m serial and dating the watch to late 1968.
The watch has a fantastic Mk1 matte dial, correct for this serial number, with ‘long E’ and no marks or chips at all. The original tritium lume to the hour plots and hands is all intact and clean and has gone a lovely creamy tone.
The case is nice and fat, having only been lightly polished in its life, with good strong lugs and original bezel with a later scratch free insert. Case back is correctly stamped and dated iii.68 and serial number and model numbers are clearly readable.
Comes on a tight rivet bracelet with correct 80 end pieces and 2.68 stamped clasp.
Movement is correct, clean and keeping good time.
Mk1 matte dials in this condition are hard to find and very collectible. Ones with their original slash-card box and punched chronometer certificate even harder still!
Some quick pictures attached and better ones to follow.
