The first watch produced by Rolex with a Helium Escape Valve in the case for saturation diving, a thicker crystal and a depth rating of 2000ft.

The Rolex 1665 Double Red Seadweller featured a number of ‘firsts’ for Rolex including its unique two lined red lettering dial added to that a great size case, date window but no cyclops and amazing superdome crystal it has become highly sought after as a vintage Rolex with great wrist presence.

This one owner watch is a rare 2.9m serial Mk3 dial version with the rare ‘thin’ case and comes with it’s original Rolex guarantee booklet dated 1974 and sports box.

Rolex Double Red Sea-Dweller 1665 Mark III

Dial & Hands: Beautiful Rolex Double Red Seadweller mark three dial with creamy white plots and matching original tritium Rolex hands.

Case & Caseback: A 2.9m serial Rolex 1665 case, correctly matching the mark 3 dial, with nice fat lugs in very clean condition. Rolex caseback correctly straight stamped across the back and inside with model and serial number. All serial numbers clearly visible between the lugs. Lovely Rolex faded fat font grey bezel insert with matching pearl.

Bracelet: Comes on a very nice folded Rolex 9315 bracelet with correct Rolex end pieces.

Movement: Original hacking Rolex 1570 movement keeping very good time.
