Here we have a very nice 1967 Omega Speedmaster Professional Moon Watch reference 145.012 with the sought after 321 movement in really lovely condition.
The reference 145.012-67 was believed to be the watch worn by Edwin “Buzz” E. Aldrin Jr on the moon in 1969 and the movement number of that watch is only a few 1,000 away from this one. Buzz’z watch went missing on return from that historic moon landing trip and has never been found, so to this date it is all a little bit of myth and the details are unconfirmed. However we do know for certain that all the astronauts aboard Apollo 11 were wearing Omega Speedmasters during the flight.
This watch has a stunning correct T Swiss Made T Professional dial with the applied Omega symbol and original hands. The case is in lovely condition with the hippocampus still visible on the case back, a tight reference 1171 bracelet and a clean service bezel. It certainly looks great on the wrist!
The watch comes with original inner and outer boxes and booklets and has been fully serviced so will come with a 12 month guarantee.
Would make a great present for anyone celebrating their 50th birthday this year!
