Unbelievable NOS condition 1984 Rolex 5513 Submariner ‘Spider Dial’ full box and papers collector set in jaw dropping condition. Once in a lifetime piece…

In unworn condition this watch is like it left the factory and has to be seen in person to be believed!

The case is unmarked with super sharp beveled lugs, the bezel is the same and like new with an unmarked insert and tritium pip. The case back still has its 5513 sticker in place and the serial number and model reference number between the lugs show zero marks. The bracelet is correctly date stamped and like new with zero stretch and a clasp that is still extremely stiff to close and open – it’s completely mad!

The dial has a very very light ‘spider dial’ effect that can be seen in certain lights and when held at certain angles which is very typical of this early batch of watches from the mid 80’s following the introduction of the white gold surround hour markers on this new gloss dial. As is the corrosion seen to the hands that is also very very common on this batch and reflective of the change of materials being used.

The tritium plots to the hour markers and hands has gone a lovely light yellow/buttermilk colour from being kept out of daylight in it’s box.

The watch comes with everything it came with from new including CORRECT non-punched hand written guarantee papers (this should be the case on UK issued Non-Chronometer watches in the 80’s) from a local Nottingham AD that has since been bought out by Goldsmiths but still trades from same address today. There is a correct slash card inner box and outer moon crater box, Rolex Submariner booklet correctly dated, Your Rolex Oyster booklet correctly dated, Rolex wallet with translation guide and original 200m anchor.

This is an extremely rare find, probably never to be repeated and viewing first is highly recommended.
