Here we have one of the rarest and earliest of the Rolex 1675 GMT Master and this one is a real beauty.
The early pointed crown guard case models of both the GMT Master and Submariner are highly collectible and sought out by serious collectors as they were produced for such a very small time period.
This early 500k serial Rolex GMT Master watch is a 1960 Rolex with the correct small GMT 1675 hand, pointed crown guards, iv 60 stamped inner case back and vintage Rolex gilt ‘track’ dial.
The case looks virtually unpolished with fat lugs and the full original bevels perfectly visible. The spring bar holes are bullet straight and flat.
The dial gloss is deep and perfect with only the very very slightest age related marks typical of early gilt dials and that are barely even visible to the human eye when on the wrist. The gilt writing is a striking gold and as sharp as it could be.
The minute track markers are all perfect and the hour plots have a beautiful yellow tone to them with perfect matching hands.
Rolex Gilt GMT’s are one of my favourite watches as they are so versatile in being able to change their look completely to suit your requirements or tastes. No other Rolex sports watch offers this versatility in my opinion and it means you can change the look of your watch with genuine parts in minutes. This is something I enjoy doing myself.
It has also been extremely popular with fellow collectors and so for that reason I am going to offer this watch with a number of different strap and bezel options so you can choose whatever combination you would like.
My poor pictures won’t ever do this watch justice but as always I guarantee you will be more than happy when you receive it!
