Rolex Datejust For Sale – Rare UAE Military Issue 1978

Another rare piece has recently arrived – A United Arab Emirates dial bi-metal Datejust military issued watch!

This special watch was presented to Commodore Geoffry Trist C.B.E while serving as Defence Director at the Ministry of Defence from 1978-1980.

The watch comes with the rare UAE crest Datejust dial and is in superb condition looking like it has probably very rarely been worn – it still has the protective sticker on the caseback!

A full collector set that includes rare UAE presentation leather box with UAE crests both inside and outside, original punched guarantee papers and translation booklet, original numbered hang tags and all presentation stickers.

Rolex Datejust 16013 UAE Military 1978

Dial & Hands: Excellent rare ‘UAE’ military issued dial in mint condition with matching tritium hands.

Case & Caseback: 5.85m serial dating the watch to around 1978/1979 with all numbers clear between the lugs. Rolex caseback is correctly stamped. Overall in superb condition. 18k gold bezel and crown.

Bracelet: Excellent Rolex bi-metal bracelet with very little stretch – unusual for this type of bracelet and commensurate with the belief that the watch has almost never been worn.

Movement: Original Rolex quick set date 3035 COSC movement in excellent condition.
